Single Strand Barbed Wire

Single strand barbed wire serves as an effective security solution for fencing and barriers. It can be laid directly on the ground, mounted on top of a fence, or arranged in rows as an independent barrier. Zinc coating prevents corrosion, enhancing durability. The structure consists of barb wire and line wire, with the line wire having a larger diameter, available in one or two strands. The barb wires twist around the line wire with constant torsion. A single barb wire forms two spikes, while two pieces of wire create four spikes, providing protection.

Twisting two line wires improves fastening quality and prevents displacement along the wire. For single strand barbed wire, the horizontal wire features corrugations to prevent spikes from rotating, as the wire’s cross-section is not circular.

Types of Barbed Wire

• Single Strand Galvanized Barbed Wire
  Single strand galvanized barbed wire offers security and livestock protection. The zinc coating resists rust and corrosion, providing long-lasting durability.

• Double Strand Galvanized Barbed Wire
  Double strand barbed wire features two twisted line wires for enhanced security and strength. It is ideal for high-security applications due to its robust structure.

Hot-Dipped Galvanized Barbed Wire Specifications

• Zinc Surface Density: A higher zinc coating increases corrosion resistance.

• Horizontal Line Wire / Barb Wire (g/m²): 80/60, 114/85, 175/147, 260/240.

Single Strand Galvanized Barbed Wire Size

• Made of one line wire with four spikes, spaced between 70 mm and 120 mm.
• Horizontal line wire diameter: 2.8 mm.
• Barb wire diameter: 2.0 mm.
• Number of spikes: 4.
• Packed in coils: 25-45 kg/coil, or 100 m, 500 m/coil.

Double Strand Galvanized Barbed Wire Size

• Made of two twisted line wires with four spikes, spaced at a distance of 75 mm to 100 mm.
• Horizontal wire barb wire diameter: 2.5 mm/1.70 mm.
• Spikes wire diameter: 2.0 mm/1.50 mm.
• Strength of horizontal line wire: minimum 1150 N/mm².
• Strength of barb wire: 700/900 N/mm².
• Stranded wire breaking load: minimum 4230 N.
• Packed in coils: 20-50 kg/coil or 50 m – 400 m/coil.

Important Note on Coating Types

Our galvanized barbed wire is exclusively hot-dipped galvanized. In addition to hot-dipped galvanized wire, electro-galvanized wire exists as well. Electro-galvanized wire has less zinc, with a zinc coating up to 10 g/m². Barbed wire coated with electro-galvanized tends to rust within a year. However, we manufacture only hot-dipped galvanized barbed wire, which offers superior protection and longevity.
